Difference between 2 words explination contest?

You should have a contest for best explination post.
Say, What is the oposit to aloud and can.

This is my example: Aloud means someone has confirmed for you to be aloud to do something. Or, It means you may do something that /girl/boy/ has said so.

Can: means that you CAN do something but may/may not have been said aloud to do so.

for e.g: My teacher told me not to fight back because it will be nasty, But I do it and my teacher says "You can do it but its not really going to get you in the right collage."

So its not really the best word like ALOUD. with a clearer explination.
